Are You Concerned About Your Child's Development?
Perhaps your child's pediatrician or teacher has expressed concerns about your child's development. By the time most children are of preschool age, they have learned many skills that help them to negotiate their environment and relate well to the people around them. Preschoolers usually enjoy listening, talking, running and playing with others. If you are not comfortable with your child's progress in developing these skills, and your child is between the ages of 2 years and 9 months (2.9) to 5 years old, you can refer your child to the Chairperson of the Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE) who will assist you in having your child evaluated.
